It finally happened. After several months of intense fan speculation, Blink-182 have finally announced that they're reuniting with founding guitarist-vocalist Tom DeLonge, who left the band in 2015 and was replaced by Alkaline Trio frontman Matt Skiba.
The return of the pop-punk band's iconic triumvirate — rounded out by bassist-vocalist Mark Hoppus and drummer Travis Barker — will be celebrated next year with a world tour, and the North American leg features support from none other than hardcore's top dogs, Turnstile.
There's more. The band have also confirmed that a new album is on the way, and fans are getting a first taste this coming Friday (October 14th) with a new song that, in Blink's typically sophomoric fashion, is titled "Edging." You can hear a clip of that below at the end of their hysterical tour preview, which features the phrase "they're coming" uttered several dozen times.
The new music will mark Blink-182's first new album since 2019's Nine and their first with DeLonge in the band since 2011's Neighborhoods. The tour with Turnstile kicks off on May 4th in St. Paul Minnesota and travels throughout the U.S. and up into Canada before concluding July 16h in Nashville.
