The Botch reunion is real. In August, the Tacoma, Washington, mathcore greats surprise-released their first new song in 20 years, "One Twenty Two." Then, earlier this month, they reassembled to play a surprise one-song set — comprised of We Are the Romans favorite "Saint Matthew Returns to the Womb" — at the private birthday party of producer Matt Bayles. Now comes news that the band will reunite for two sure-to-be-insane almost-hometown shows in February.
The concerts — the group's first bona fide gigs in two decades — are set to go down on February 24th and 25th at the Showbox in Seattle, notably, the same venue that hosted their last show in June 2002. Tickets go on sale tomorrow (Thursday, October 20th) at 10 a.m. PT.
Bassist Brian Cook, also of Russian Circles, commented on the reunion dates on his personal Instagram. Read his thoughts below.
