Kicking off in 2021, three-fifths of Avenged Sevenfold — namely, guitarist Zacky Vengeance, bassist Johnny Christ and drummer Brooks Wackerman — have made it an annual tradition to cover the Misfits for Halloween.
Up this spooky season: Glenn Danzig and Co.'s "Astro Zombies." "It's that time of year where Zacky, Johnny and Brooks transform into fiends to bring you a new take on a classic Misfits song. Enjoy?," wrote the band on social media, unveiling audio of the trio's rendition of the horror-punk essential. Stream the cover above via YouTube.
The A7X members' previous two covers came with performance videos, as well as audio, and found Vengeance, Christ and Wackerman rocking the Misfits' iconic skull makeup. Last year, the trio released a version of "Last Caress," while in 2021's inaugural installment, they tore through "Hybrid Moments."
