Revolver has teamed with Code Orange for an exclusive "transparent ochre" vinyl variant of The Above, limited to 350. Get yours from our shop!
Code Orange have big news. The Pittsburgh heavyweights are releasing their new album, The Above, later this fall via Blue Grape Music, a new label spearheaded by former Roadrunner Records executives David Rath and Cees Wessels.
The album was self-produced by the band's own Jami Morgan and Eric "Shade" Balderose, and contains engineering work by alt-rock super-producer Steve Albini (Nirvana, Pixies, PJ Harvey and more).
The follow-up to Code Orange's 2020 opus, Underneath, includes the pair of monstrous songs they dropped last month, "Grooming My Replacement" and "The Game," as well as the transcendently catchy new single "Take Shape," which features vocals from none other than Smashing Pumpkins mastermind Billy Corgan.
The song is a giant, sweeping rock tune not unlike the songs Corgan wrote for classics like Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness and Siamese Dream. It's the most rock & roll song Code Orange have ever released, and you can watch its surreal-y majestic music video above via YouTube.
The Above is due out September 29th via Blue Grape Music, and is now available for pre-order in a variety of options. Revolver has an exclusive "transparent ochre" colored vinyl variant that's limited to just 350 copies. Order yours now!
