Earlier this year, rising Texas death-metal crew, and Revolver faves, Frozen Soul announced their upcoming sophomore album, Glacial Domination, which was produced by Trivium mastermind Matthew Heafy. They've previously teased what's in store with two brutal singles, "Morbid Effigy" (featuring Dying Fetus frontman John Gallagher) and "Arsenal of War" (featuring Creeping Death singer Reese Alavi). Today (April 12) the band has shared the massive title track — which features a fierce guest shot from Heafy himself.
"'Glacial Domination' was co-written by the band and Matt Heafy of Trivium," the band shared in a joint statement. "We had a lot of fun exploring new things like catchier choruses, more leads, and solos. It's an avalanche of riffs leaning in traditional Frozen Soul but adding some new flavor. At the end of the day, we wanted to write a catchy and fun death metal song!"
The new cut arrives alongside a far-out, and fittingly chilly, music video directed by Brendan McGowen that features "Matt and a fight between a stranded, time-traveling space man and a literal caveman — what's not to love about that?!" Watch the cannibalistic carnage above.
Glacial Domination is due out May 19th via Century Media and it's now available for pre-order in a variety of formats. One of those is a Revolver-exclusive vinyl variant on "magenta/black marbled" wax — limited to just 300 copies worldwide. Order yours from our shop!
