Metal: Hellsinger — a rhythm first-person shooter (FPS) where players are fighting through hell itself — already had some serious heavy-music firepower in its cast, including Lamb of God's Randy Blythe, Arch Enemy's Alissa White-Gluz and Trivium's Matt Heafy. But today (May 19th), developer The Outsiders and publisher Funcom announced the game's biggest name yet: System of a Down frontman Serj Tankian.
The SOAD vocalist lends his inimitable pipes to the heavy new song "No Tomorrow," which soundtracks the slaughter of demonic hordes in the FPS. Check out the cut via gameplay trailer above.
David Goldfarb, creative director at The Outsiders, commented, "What can you even say! We have so many System of a Down fans in the studio, adding Serj Tankian to our already incredible roster of vocalists feels unreal. He completely killed the track and made it his own in a way only Serj could. We are so excited and can't wait to see everyone playing!"
Metal: Hellsinger is due out later this year to PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
