This past Saturday, October 28th, Twitching Tongues played a special Misfits tribute set — under the name Twitchfits and rocking fiend makeup — at The Midnight Hour in San Fernando, California. Headlined by Drain, the show raised money for Twitching Tongues' Taylor Young, who was recently evicted from his home studio of over 17 years, Van Nuys, California's The Pit, where he'd recorded and mixed Suicide Silence, Militarie Gun, Mindforce, Sunami and many others.
Now Twitchfits have followed up the performance with a surprise Misfits tribute EP, fittingly titled Twitchfits Vol. 1, which features covers of six horror-punk classics: "Last Caress," "Astro Zombies," "Skulls," "Where Eagles Dare," "I Turned Into a Martian" and, of course, considering the season, "Halloween."
You can stream the EP and watch footage of Twitching Tongues' Misfits set below. A GoFundMe to help Young out with the studio relocation is still accepting donations.
