Josh Lord Talks Terrible First Tattoos, Doing "Jail-Style" Teenage Ink

In the latest installment of our series, we sat down with East Side Ink co-owner Josh Lord to talk about terrible first tattoos. "My very first tattoo, which I still have, it's this dot on my wrist. I was probably 12 years old," recalls the artist, pointing at it. "All the cool kids had something." Watch the video above in which Lord recalls how his interest in tattooing began at age five after seeing his uncle's self-done pointillism to doing "jail-style" needle-and-thread tattoos on his school friends.
