Kiss Announce "End of the Road World Tour," Final Run of 45-Year Career

"We're saying goodbye on our final tour with our biggest show yet"

To wrap up their historic 45-year career as one of the world's most iconic and theatrical bands, Kiss took the stage on the America's Got Talent season finale last night to deliver a raucous performance of "Detroit Rock City" followed by the announcement that their upcoming End of the Road World Tour will be the group's final. Dates for the tour have yet to be announced, but KISSonline.com will be rolling those out in the next few weeks.

On their departure from the spotlight, the band — whose current lineup includes co-founding guitarist/singer Paul Stanley and bassist/singer Gene Simmons, along with guitarist Tommy Thayer and drummer Eric Singer — issued the following statement:

"All that we have built and all that we have conquered over the past four decades could never have happened without the millions of people worldwide who've filled clubs, arenas and stadiums over those years. This will be the ultimate celebration for those who've seen us and a last chance for those who haven't. KISS Army, we're saying goodbye on our final tour with our biggest show yet and we'll go out the same way we came in... Unapologetic and Unstoppable."
