Mike Patton's avant-metal tricksters Mr. Bungle announced today (April 11th) that they're expanding their 2023 tour to include a run of dates on the East Coast, marking the first time Bungle have taken a spin on that side of North America since 2000. This latest batch of shows, which begins September 5th in Baltimore, will feature support from Battles, the New York group anchored by drummer John Stanier, bandmate of Patton and Mr. Bungle bassist Trevor Dunn in the supergroup Tomahawk.
The current lineup of Mr. Bungle — Patton, Dunn, drummer Dave Lombardo (ex-Slayer), and guitarists Scott Ian (Anthrax) and Trey Spruance — will be hitting major east coast cities like New York, Philadelphia and Boston — as well as a date in Montreal and Toronto — before wrapping up September 15th at The Fillmore in Detroit.
The band already had a West Coast tour on the books (the revived Ipecac Geek Show) alongside the Melvins and post-rockers Spotlights. That run of dates kicks off May 10th at Pomona, California's Fox Theater. You can check out the full list of 2023 Mr. Bungle tour dates below.
