Oblivion Access was already shaping up to be one of the most banger fests of the year — sets from Converge, Carcass, the Locust, Youth of Today, Autopsy and over 60 other amazing acts spanning metal, punk, rap, shoegaze, electronic and experimental music. Now, the Austin event going down May 12th through the 15th at numerous venues throughout the city has gotten even better. Oblivion Access, which Revolver is co-sponsoring, have announced that they've added a comedy show, record shop, art gallery and a whole other music event to the busy weekend schedule.
On Thursday May 12th, our friends at the Hard Times will be presenting a stacked comedy show — reserved exclusively for fest badge-holders — at Valhalla featuring comedian Eddie Pepitone and co-hosted by Hard Times co-founder Bill Conaway. The next night at the same venue, BrooklynVegan will host a musical showcase featuring performances from Thou, -(16)-, Dorthia Cottrell, Jarhead Fertilizer, Body Void and Vile Creature, which you can snag tickets for here.
Additionally, Oblivion Access will now also boast a four-day pop-up poster show displaying the work of Jacob Bannon, Thomas Hooper, and Keenan Bouchard, presented by Night Swim Project and featuring live art creation and screen printing every day onsite. And last but not least, we'll be hosting our very own pop-up record store that'll feature music, merch and more from many artists include the ones performing at the festival.
