See Corrosion of Conformity Join Fan for Band Tattoo, Talk Lemmy, Logos, More

Revolver and Inked have partnered to bring you stories on some of the world's best tattooers and tattoo shops, including New York City's East Side Ink. So when the classic lineup of Corrosion of Conformity descended on NYC earlier this year to deliver a crushing set at Gramercy Theatre, Revolver hosted a contest where one fan would win the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to meet the band members and get a COC–inspired tattoo of their choice. Winner Tessa Kenyon went classic, selecting the stoner-rock group's logo for the piece. "We wanted something iconic, like Motörhead," says bassist Mike Dean of the his band's instantly recognizable symbol. Vocalist-guitarist Pepper Keenan adds, laughing, "We toured with Motörhead and Lemmy came up to us and said, 'You have the second best logo.'"
