Suicide Squad star Margot Robbie has been very open about her past as a die-hard metalhead, shouting out bands including Slipknot and Bullet for My Valentine among her favorites. Now, appearing on the BBC's Graham Norton Show along with fellow A-lister Cate Blanchett, the actor doubled down on her headbanging bona fides.
Asked by the host if she was a goth as a teen, Robbie said (as transcribed by Louder), "I don't know if I was a full goth. Very emo though, and I listened to, like, only heavy-metal music. I would dye my hair black and only cut it with a razor blade. ... So yeah, kinda goth."
An incredulous Blanchett gently ribbed her, asking if anyone actually likes heavy metal, and if she "genuinely liked" it. But Robbie stood firm: "I still genuinely like it."
"I really like it," she continued. "I remember going to the Slipknot concert, and … at the time I was on [Australian soap opera] Neighbours. I've never had more people come up to me, ever, than at a Slipknot concert. … It was so unexpected. And they worried about all the characters … They were so invested in Neighbours and Slipknot."
Watch above. It's great to know that Robbie is a member of our tribe.
