Human resources software giant Workday has unveiled its star-studded new Super Bowl commercial, which features Ozzy Osbourne, KISS' Paul Stanley, Joan Jett, Billy Idol and Gary Clark Jr. The Prince of Darkness notably plays an amusingly against-type role: a new office hire, in shirt and tie, getting to know his coworkers. In addition to the full ad, several side clips focusing on individual rock stars have also hit the internet — watch above and below.
"Altogether, this is a good group of people that provided that social reach, diversity and also that shock value of, 'Hold on, what's Billy Idol doing in the middle of the office?'" Pete Schlampp, Workday's chief marketing officer, told USA Today of the commercial, which cost the company a cool $14 million for its 60-second runtime. "Before we started filming, I had some of those butterflies in my stomach: Is the cast right? Will this come off well? Once you got on set and saw that stuff coming off, it was obvious it was great."
