For TOOL fans who love seeing the band live, "Rosetta Stoned" is somewhat of a white whale. According to Setlist.fm, the band have only played the 11-minute cut four times in the last 13 years, and they really haven't included it in their setlists with any regularity since 2007 — despite it being one of the most popular songs on their 2006 album, 10,000 Days.
While guitarist Adam Jones has recently alluded that the tune might make it back into their rotation in the not-too-distant future, for now, TOOL heads will need to turn to YouTube to see the alt-metal heroes unravel "Rosetta Stoned" in all its glory. The best archived performance available online was filmed during a show in Paris that took place in August 2007, and from the majestic stage lights to the masterful musicianship, TOOL's presentation of "Rosetta Stone" is truly something to marvel at.
