In December 2021, Danish metal crew Volbeat released their eighth full-length album, Servant of the Mind, arguably the outfit's darkest and heaviest outing to date.
"It seemed like everything that was coming out of my sleeves was pretty heavy," frontman Michael Poulsen told Revolver last year of writing the material that would become Servant of the Mind. "Normally I would sit down and write with an acoustic guitar, but for this album I threw my acoustic guitar out the window. I was like, 'Fuck the acoustic guitar — we're going big!'"
Ahead of that release, in Autumn 2021, Poulsen and the band hit the road on their "Wait a Minute… Let's Tour" run, the group's first North American shows since 2019. Throughout the dates, they previewed the new material — including Servant of the Mind's infectious singles "Shotgun Blues" and "Wait a Minute My Girl" — and treated audiences to a collection of fan favorites: "Still Counting," "A Warrior's Call" and more.
During the San Diego stop, Volbeat filmed their entire set at the historic The Observatory North Park theater — and today, October 6th, they are premiering that entire full-concert stream. Titled "Volbeat – Wait A Minute… Let's Tour: Live From San Diego," the video — which was filmed and edited by the team at Ghost Atomic Pictures ("Shotgun Blues," "Die To Live" feat. Neil Fallon, "Leviathan," Let's Boogie: Live from Telia Parken) — captures the Copenhagen outfit in full, powerful post-pandemic gigging form.
Watch the entire "Wait A Minute… Let's Tour: Live From San Diego" above now, because it won't be available for long. The concert will be streaming for a limited time only: from Thursday, October 6th at 2 p.m. ET until Sunday, October 9th at midnight ET.
