Welcome to Rockville fest will be returning to Daytona, Florida, in 2024 and next year's lineup is an absolute doozy.
Slipknot, Limp Bizkit, Mötley Crüe and Foo Fighters will be headlining the four-day extravaganza, with additional performances from Judas Priest, Queens of the Stone Age, Evanescence, Disturbed, Mr. Bungle and many other heavy-music mainstays.
However, the most shocking artist on the stacked lineup is Kerry motherfucking King, who will apparently be debuting his new post-Slayer band at the festival next May.
Earlier this week, the ex-Slayer axman teased that the new band he'd been talking up since 2020 was finally going to be revealed in 2024, and so far, this is the first real announcement he's made for the project.
As noted on the Welcome to Rockville festival flier, King will be going with his own name for this new band, and as of now, his set on the first day of the fest (Thursday May 9th) is slated to be his first-ever performance under that moniker.
The rest of the Welcome to Rockville lineup is filled out by nu-metal vets (Mudvayne, Flyleaf, Skillet), metalcore mavens (Bad Omens, Architects, A Day to Remember), pop-punk heroes (Sum 41, The Offspring) and a variety of other rockers ranging from Primus and Anthrax to Greta Van Fleet and Insane Clown Posse.
