It already seemed pretty surreal when news broke that Deftones had teamed with Heaven by Marc Jacobs (as well as streetwear brand Stray Rats) for a collaborative spring collection. Then Revolver went to the free, exclusive, 650-capacity show that the alt-metal titans played in celebration of the collab, and the shoulder-to-shoulder post-millenial fashionistas in attendance leveled up the surreality extremely.
Now, shit has just gone off the rails, as none other than M3GAN — yes, the homicidal A.I. doll of the campy hit horror movie — is the latest cultural icon to pose for Heaven by Marc Jacobs, appearing bathed in red light, rocking sky-high platform boots and a zip-up hoodie emblazoned with the skull from Deftones' self-titled album. Previous celebs to model for Heaven have ranged from Pamela Anderson and Kyle MacLachlan to Charli XCX and Doja Cat, but M3GAN repping Deftones? That's a memory we'll never forget — maybe because M3GAN is keeping it for us.
