Staind's new album, Confessions of the Fallen — the nu-metal veterans' first studio full-length in over a decade — is right around the corner, and today (September 13th) singer Aaron Lewis, guitarist Mike Mushok and Co. offered up its fourth single, the poignant ballad "Here and Now."
The song arrived along with a cinematic music video directed by Brad Golowin. Watch and listen above.
"Here and Now" follows up July's "Cycle of Hurting," April's "Lowest in Me" and August's "In This Condition," but unlike those songs, which lean into the heavier side of the band's sound, the latest single reflects Staind's mellower, lighters-up inclinations.
"Here and now/After everything we thought we knew," frontman Aaron Lewis sings in the anthemic chorus. "Broken lies and shattered truths/Lost and found/Every memory that's bleeding through/They all just seem to lead me back to you."
Confessions of the Fallen is due out September 15th.
