With his operatic vocals and theatrical delivery, System of a Down singer Serj Tankian has always had a shot of Freddie Mercury coursing through his musical veins. Now, he's had a chance to pay homage to the Queen vocalist by covering their late-career gem, "The Show Must Go On" — and with none other than Queen guitarist Brian May shredding by his side.
The performance went down September 7th at the Starmus Festival in Yerevan, Armenia, and Tankian and May were accompanied onstage by numerous other singers, as well as the backing of the Armenian National Orchestra. Naturally, Tankian's vocals were a knockout, and seeing him up there belting next to a legendary guitarist like May made for a truly special moment.
