Last week, Mr. Bungle kicked off their first East Coast tour in more than two decades, and over the weekend, that trek hit New York City, specifically, the 3,000-capacity Terminal 5.
Veteran math-rock duo Battles, featuring drummer John Stanier, of Helmet and Tomahawk fame, opened the show, but the night belonged to the headliners, of course. And Bungle — a.k.a. core members Mike Patton, Trevor Dunn and Trey Spruance plus Anthrax's Scott Ian and OG Slayer drummer Dave Lombardo — did not disappoint.
Their 19-song setlist leaned heavily into material off 2020's The Raging Wrath of the Easter Bunny Demo, plus a few choice covers — most notably, a ripping take on Sepultura's "Territory," with which they closed the show. (Check out the full setlist, courtesy of Setlist.fm, below.)
Photographer The Tinfoil Biter was there to capture all the action.
